Introduction

In this article, we will present the official texts (published in the Journal Officiel, the Bulletin Officiel des P.T.T....) concerning the period of sale of the stamp 0,50 F Marianne de Béquet: the circulars of issue and withdrawal of the stamp, the texts giving the domestic rates and those corresponding to the international rates.

Issue and withdrawal of the stamp 0,50 F Béquet

There was only one official text for the emission of the stamp 0,50 F Marianne de Béquet:

On the other hand, the withdrawal has been the subject of 4 circulars:

• a first circular on February 21, 1978 announcing a withdrawal on April 7, 1978 of stamps with phosphorescent bands

• a second circular on March 16, 1978 announcing a withdrawal on May 19, 1978 for the 0,50 F Marianne de Béquet without phosphorescent marking

• a third circular on May 6, 1978 announcing the suspension of the preceding circular

• a fourth and last circular announcing the withdrawal of all 0.50 F Marianne de Béquet stamps on July 7, 1978, whatever the mode of sale of the stamps.
